Free Spectroscopic Database
Dear administrator,
We would like to draw your attention on a free spectroscopic database that is now available for several years and that is now featured with a complete java applet for NMR data processing and manipulation. The idea is that the output of the spectrometer can be directly directed to a webserver and further directed to a user account of a unique database. The data are then ready to be accessible for that user from any point of the globe, and can be shared among the community with a single click. It has been recently described in a blog http://zusammen.metamolecular.com/2009/04/07/sixty-four-free-chemistry-databases-part-7-manage-your-spectra-and-chromatograms-online-with-mylims-org
This lims has been developed at the EPFL (Switzerland) and know in collaboration with our research group at the Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia, where processing functions are currently under development. In particular the applet can be downloaded and an ultimate version provides the user an opportunity to run javasript macros from the console and therefore use the applet for potentially any processing mean. A first man page is available at http://www.yo-que.ch/nmrlab/nmrwiki/index.php/JsNMR_Toolbox
The real innovation comes from the fact that original fids in JCAMP format are automatically stored from the spectrometer and are then, when published by the user, freely available for the whole scientific community.
Best regards,
Julien Wist
